Summertime livin' at Texas French Bread

Dear Friends,

We hope you are all enjoying this sunny respite from the Texas thunderstorms. Here at Texas French Bread, we've been taking advantage of the easygoing temperatures and blue skies by dining on the garden patio with a few summer salads to share and a chilled bottle of wine. Our peach, heirloom tomato and prosciutto salad has been a favorite since we debuted it last weekend -- it's not to be missed! Can't make it in to the restaurant yourself? We just got a new round of gift cards in and we think they'll make pretty great gifts for Father's Day, birthdays, graduation presents or otherwise. Stop by the shop to purchase one.

It's been whispered that this should be a fairly mild few months, so we hope y'all take full advantage of that by swimming all day and dining al fresco with us at night. We just added some hard to find wines to our list, including a few Beaujolais gamays and a selection of Arnot Roberts (you'll hear more about this incredible producer in next week's newsletter).

To sign off, I'll leave you with a photo we unearthed recently while cleaning the upstairs office -- this is me, circa 1986, enjoying all that the sunshine had to offer on the beaches of Valencia. For reasons beyond my comprehension, my staff thinks including this in today's email is a good idea.

Bring it on, summer.

bon appetit,

murph
